Breedable pets.
I know.. we all have them or have seen them, at sometime in our SL lives.
There are millions out there.
From dogs to Tigers, seahorses to bears, they come in all shapes, sizes and colors.
I have even seen breedable SHOES, But so often these breedable pets end up as part of our inventory because, lets face it.. they are EXPENSIVE to keep.
Until now…
DejaPi Script Lab has what I truly believe to be the BEST breedables.
Why, you ask?
because these breedables don't require you to purchase extra food every week,
they don't need enchanted brooms, Bird flu shots or even mates!
So what are these miracle breedables, you ask?
PLANTPETS! That's right, you heard me, BREEDABLE PLANTS!
Bruce Lichenbecht, creator of PlantPets has cornered the SL market on intelligent, breedable plants.
A one time purchase, each PlantPet comes as a seed.
When you are ready to start it growing, simply rez the seed and click it.
Magically your plant is delivered to your inventory. Potted and ready to grow.
Rez the delivered plant, click the plant and the growth process begins.
It starts as a sprout and over time will become a full grown plant. Here is the great part,
NO FOOD TO BUY!
Simply water the plant from it's menu and it will be happy and healthy.
Healthy plants produce a baby seed every 52 days.
The babies are the same species as the adult plant only you get a surprise color each time.
Color variations have special meaning in the PlantPet world. Some colors are more rare than others and thus desirable among traders and breeders. The PlantPet hierarchy looks like this:

Common - sold at the main store

Seasonal - sold at specific times of the year at the main store

Rare - comes as a baby of another plant only

Elite - only comes as a baby of another plant and gives random boosters to cut the wait for another baby ( only 10% of all PlantPets are elite)

Limited - sold in limited quantities or for a limited time only
Every species contains one or more of each PlantPet category.
Per their name, common PlantPets are produced more often.
Limited and Limited Elite do not come as babies of any other plants.
They have to be purchased in original seed form.
How many plants could there be? 350 so far and more are in the worlds !! In all breeds and colors.
From fantasy to realistic, small to large, there is something to suit everyone's taste.
Each plant comes in a variety of colors.
PlantPets offers roses in a rainbow of colors, orchids, bonsai and other leafy plants.

Each PlantPet can be customized to suit your in world needs.
PlantPet owners choose the rate of growth for each of their PlantPets.
The plant menu has a SPEED button, REAL speed is the slowest and takes the longest to bloom.
Speeds are in direct proportion to how often the plant needs water.
Faster speeds mean that the plant may need water every few minutes,
but it will be in full bloom with in the hour.
Real speed takes weeks for the plant to come to full bloom,
but it only needs to be watered once or twice a week.
Watering your plant when it is between 50% - 80% moisture will keep it happy and healthy.
Don't be fooled by the term growth speed. The speed only affects the bloom rate of the PlantPet.
It has nothing to do with how quickly the baby seeds arrive.
Every plant, from roses to cannabis
(yes, there are smokable cannabis PlantPets too!)
takes 52 days to produce a baby.
The only way to cut the wait time on baby seeds is to apply a booster.
Impatient PlantPet owners can purchase boosters which are sold separately from the plants.
Elite plants give random boosters with each seed. That is it.
No mate needed, no breeding cave, no enchanted shoe polish, simply wait your 52 days and a baby PlantPet seed will be delivered to you via your PlantPet.
So, the next question is… if they grow, does that mean they can die? The answer is yes. But don't fret!
If you forget about your plant it will send you a message saying it needs water.
If you ignore the message the plant will die. BUT… it can be restarted at any time.
If it dies, you will lose your baby count and the days will be set back to 52 and start anew,
but your plant will be just fine.
If you know you will be out of world for a while, you can always pause your plant or take it into inventory. The baby days will not count down if you do either of these, but the plant will be just fine and wait patiently until you are ready to care for it again.
Friends can be added to help water your plants.
Simply add the avi name to a list in the plant's menu and they will have permission to water your plant.
Friends are not allowed to do anything but water, so don't ask them to replant your garden.
Most PlantPets can be repotted into a suitable garden, flower pot or vase.
There are even some that make great water plants if you would like to decorate your aquarium or birdbath.
Lots of in world breeders sell the plants, but one shop seems to have cornered the market on making them a stylized part of any SL decor.

The Love Everlasting PlantPet group is not the largest in SL,
but it is a common feeling among members that they are the most cared for group.
Often times groups are simply used as an audience for selling,
but the Love Everlasting PlantPet group is intended to be special.
